Color Vignette Illustrations

  1. Purchase the number of illustrations you want for your book.
  2. Submit your manuscript and any notes you have about how you want your illustrations to look (submission instructions will be sent after your payment is received).
  3. We create a round of mockups for you to review based on your manuscript and your notes.
  4. You review the mockups and provide feedback on them, selecting one character or object to be your audition piece for the artists.
  5. Your project is sent to the artists on our team and they submit samples to compete for your project (using the audition element you selected).
  6. You select the artist with the style you like best and they become the artist for your project.
  7. The artist creates the line art for all of your mockups and these are submitted to you once completed.
  8. You review the line art and provide feedback on any adjustments you want made (if applicable).
  9. Your notes are applied and the illustrations are submitted to you for a final review.
  10. You review the illustrations and provide desired adjustments you want made (if applicable).
  11. Your adjustment requests are applied and you receive the final illustrations as both display and source files.
  12. You move on to the next book development steps (i.e., cover design, book design, etc.).

TimelineGenerally, about 2 weeks per illustration. But, as with any project, this timeline can change based on multiple variables (such as how long it takes you to send the manuscript to us, how many times you ask for revisions, office holidays, how long your payment takes to be finalized, etc.).
